1 in 6 people in the UK are living with a neurological condition – that’s more than cancer, heart disease and kidney failure combined. And for too many like Louise, our Office Manager, a brain injury can happen suddenly and without warning. Recovery can be slow, painful and traumatising in itself, which is when the foundation steps forward. So, as a thank you for helping Louise, we’re doing what we can now to raise awareness and funds for a fantastic charity.
Louise’s story
In May 2018 Louise had a bleed on the brain. It was a catastrophic and life-threatening event. “I had experienced a seizure and had a subarachnoid Hemorrhage (SAH) due to a dissected vertebral artery and ruptured aneurysm. After emergency surgery my recovery was slow. The Brain and Spine Foundation was there for me and helped me through the many difficult months and years ahead”.
For many, the isolation, along with the psychological and emotional toll, can be overwhelming. Louise shares her journey in the film, discussing the invaluable support, advice, and sense of community she found through the foundation. She highlights how
these resources restored her confidence, enabling her to overcome her struggles and support others through theirs. Louise describes the charity as a “Godsend.”
“I’ve got a wide circle of friends and family who were really supportive, but speaking to people who had been through the same trauma made all the difference” says Louise. “I can’t thank them enough, I just hope this partnership can raise some awareness in some way, and raise some funds for the charity.”

When Louise told us about the charity and what it means to her we wanted to see how we could help. As an agency wanting to deliver work with purpose it seemed the perfect way to add something extra to our Christmas card. And, since Louise is back at work smashing it, we’re also very grateful for the support they gave her when she needed it most.
